Surprise!









...as in, these beautiful Surprise Lilies that decorated my mother's front yard this past weekend.

  7. Barb, Mam-ma got those started some 25 years or so ago. She dug up some bulbs at Aunt Mavis' place in San Augustine and planted them there. They are also called "Hurricane Lillies," and several times when there was a hurricane in the vicinity they popped up. One of Mother Natures mysteries!
