May Day, May Day

On a whim,

coming home from work on May Day,

I pulled over

and photographed the wildflowers

waving to me from the roadside.

The next day,

the roadside had been freshly mown.

I'm so grateful I listen to whims.

  1. Too bad these lovelies can't live long lives to bask in the sunshine and liven up our roadsides throughout the summer.

  6. I am glad you listened to whims too. Your photos are lovely. I am tempted to stop on our highways and shoot some pictures but am afraid of getting run over.

  10. The jasmine and honeysuckle on our front arbor are beginning to bloom. Not only do they smell great, but they are beautiful to look at.
