Pink and Yellow, Soothe a Fellow

I realized it's been awhile since I've posted any flower photos.

The truth is, our blooms have faded in the heat and drought.
But I found a patch of mountain pinks to share with you.

I love how the old wood frames the blooms.

and this lone daisy,
or whatever it is,
greets me every time I look out the window.

Hope you still have plenty of color blooming in your world!

  1. Things are starting to get withered from the heat, but at least we've had some rain!

    1. I was hoping that rain would follow me back to Austin this past weekend! (It didn't, dang it!)

  2. How very pretty! Everything is blooming over here due to the cool temps and the rain.

Hope it cools off for you soon.

  3. I've not taken a walk in the park in some weeks, but I can attest that the window boxes along my block are in bloom and looking perky!

  4. love both. that bright 'sun' rather outshines the mountain pinks, though. :)

  5. I remember living in Texas this time of year when most blooms start to dry up. You did manage to find some great color though!

    1. Got lucky! Those pinks always pop up just when you think all color is fading.
