Is any further explanation needed?
I didn't think so.

    1. Oh, we've got snakes and snapping turtles, too. I just didn't get a photo of any that day! They're fast!

  4. Not a single one. I'm sure glad you do take photos of your pond, though.

  5. Barbara,

Is it a pond that was built in your yard? We have a very small one that needs a lot of work. I sure wouldn't get in mine either, although I have only seen frogs and gold fish.

    1. This is a natural pond, Charlotte. Just a tiny one along a creek that flows on our property. Well, it's not flowing much right now, unfortunately, with this drought!

I was just photographing the tadpoles a couple of days ago, and had these same feelings.
We also have a snapping turtle. :-(

    1. Thank goodness the neighborhood snapping turtles live next door! We do have a painted turtle but he's awfully shy!

    1. I'm sure your jungle holds much more than this, but I'd love to go hiking through one someday!
