Welcome to Long Hollow Photography!

Can a girl have too many hobbies? Obviously, I don't think so. When that 50th birthday appeared on the horizon, I realized I needed to get moving on things I had been putting off.
So I started a blog for my writing, Long Hollow... I started taking writing classes at the community college... I wrote the first draft of a screenplay and began working on a novel... I started playing (at) the drums... and I started using my Nikon.
I've always had a camera close at hand, but it's only recently that I've become a full-fledged addict. I blame my friend Jillsy... and I thank her. She inspired me to snap more and invited me into her 365 FlickR group, where I've received even more encouragement and have been inspired to learn more.
I decided to start this blog and devote it to photography - a place to post my favorite photos and share links and information about photography.
Got any suggestions?
Oh, thanks for stopping by!

  4. Well, welcome to the party.
I have a similar experience. As I turn 50 later this year, I am also re-thinking how I spend my time. And photography is at the top of my list.
    Woot I’m your first follower!

PS. I started a autobiography at age 66 called "The Road to Mission" (stuck 2 chapters on my blog) so there is hope for you writing many stories and taking plenty pictures. Blessings Herman.
