Focus and Breathe

Stuck in Austin traffic one evening a couple of weeks ago with 2/3 of my kids

I glanced out the window and spotted bright colorful graffiti painted on a train car one bridge over...

Camera! Camera! Camera! I squealed, twisting to reach into my purse behind my seat.

But responsible kids that they are, they reminded me I was driving and didn't need to be snapping photos

so Daniel took these for me.

Mostly to get me to be quiet, I bet.

I couldn't read the words until I popped the images on my computer.

Here... I've zoomed in so you can read them, too.

Just the reminder I needed.

Blink

Way back in December, we went to Florida.

There's this wall of graffiti we pass on our way to Pensacola Beach. 

I knew it was ahead, knew we would be passing it. and I had my camera ready. 

But we passed it so fast I barely had time to snap this photo.

That's how life is these days - I try to cover so much ground that I blink and the day is behind me.

I need to stop and take time for a closer look.

...not just watch the scenery flash by through the window...

Anyway, that's why I haven't shared these photos with you until now.

Heck, I've barely looked at them myself!
