We rode a steam train a couple of...Terrific trains. We rode a steam train a couple of times in England, and once in Northern Ireland, but sadly that one is no longer running. Some of those old trains look very like the rolling stock British Rail used to run when I commuted into London in the 1980s! I think they finally managed to update most of it after the railway was privatised, but the old clunky doors were much loved by late passengers (late as in late, not dead!) - you could hold up the train by keeping a door open for someone in those days.
